This is the 2023 vinyl sticker design. Handing out free vinyl stickers, either at live events or while on the road, has been an instrumental part of this project. It’s a great way to open communications and for spreading links, information and resources. In 2022 the East Coast Team gave a sticker to every gas station attendant, every food server in every diner, every pedestrian, every bike rider, every truck driver who wanted to know where we were going, anyone walking through a parking lot, people sitting in cars waiting for the light to change, everyone got a sticker.

Because of the QR code on the stickers many people went immediately to the “TOOLS” page at ibutterfly.net to find native milkweed for their gardens. We also talked about the overall decline of our world’s insect population, green burial, bike travel. The response is always enthusiastic and kind.

In Door County, Wisconsin during mid-August you can watch the beginning of the monarch butterfly autumn migration. Door County is a beautiful and easy place to explore on a bicycle. This trip was broken into 15 to 35 mile day-rides. My destinations included Cave Point (bring a bathing suit), the Cana Island Lighthouse and the Ridges Sanctuary, which is home to the world’s only known population of Hine's Emerald Dragonflies.
