These websites, apps and services are not connected to or associated with I_Butterfly. As a free-form festival our goal is to use services that are accessible and openly available to everyone. Here are some that we have relied on and plan to continue using as we move forward.

    Komoot is Europe’s #1 route planning platform designed for cyclers, mountain bikers, backpackers, and hikers. We have been using Komoot as one of several ways to share and coordinate bike routes. To join Cory McAbee on Komoot click the button below.

  • SPRING WATER

    If you enjoy taking detours to drink, collect, or soak in local spring water here is a citizen science generated map. It includes directions, water quality reviews and photos. Additional research is recommended, but this map is a wonderful starting point.

  • East Coast Greenway

    For those planning to ride the East Coast, the East Coast Greenway connects 15 states, 450 cities and towns, and 3,000 miles of trails from Maine to Florida. It is the longest biking and walking route in the US.

  • Register Sightings

    We encourage all interested parties (riders and supporters) to register monarch butterfly sightings at JOURNEY NORTH, a citizen science program that tracks wildlife migration and seasonal change to foster scientific understanding and environmental awareness.

  • Warm Showers

    Warmshowers.org is an internet-based platform linking touring bicyclists with hosts who support them. The 2022 tour was made possible in part through this network.

  • The Patch

    We encourage all participants to create or acquire an “I_Butterfly” patch. The one pictured above was ordered through ETSY. If you would prefer to create your own design please do, and please feature your patch in your. photographs. Hashtag #I_Butterfly.

  • Graphic Design
